Child Dedications

At Trinity, we take the commitment to raise children in the instruction of the Lord very seriously. Each parent is commanded to exemplify and live out the Word of God every day and bring up their children to follow Him.  Our service is called a Child Dedication, but it could be called a Parent Dedication. In this service, you are coming forward to declare that, as the parent, you take your responsibility seriously and commit yourself to raising your children in a God-honoring manner.

On Sunday, February 7th during the 11:30 service we will be dedicating children to the Lord.  However, this time we are asking that all parents wishing to dedicate their children attend a very special parenting class designed just for them.

The Essence of Family: At the heart of every family is a primary calling to lead a generation to the heart of a perfect, loving God.  No other passage in the Bible defines the family role as clearly as Deuteronomy 6, and in this study we will challenge parents to Imagine the End in order to stay focused on the big picture, Fight for the Heart of their families by loving God with all their hearts, Make it Personal and let kids see what God is doing in their parents, Create a Rhythm so time together as a family will nurture everyday faith, and Widen the Circle and make sure kids have additional influences to guide them.

The class is a pre-requisite for Child Dedication and will be offered on Wednesday, February 3rd at 6:30pm in the Chapel.  Registration is required for the class at www.trinitytoday.com/childdedication.  Take the time to visit our Child Dedication page at www.trinitytoday.com/childdedication to find out all that we have for our parents as they dedicate their children to the Lord.

If you know of any families with new children, or might be interested in dedicating their children at Trinity, please send this information  along to them.  If you have any questions about our Child Dedication process, please call 806.792.3363 x300 or email kidsplace@trinitytoday.com.
