Louise's Story

She was blissfully sleeping until a hand clamped over her mouth. Her eyes were wide with terror as the red flow of numerals on the bedside clock showing 3:12 A.M. registered in her brain. The voice whispered, "Don't worry, it's me, but they've got us surrounded. I've got to radio in for help". The whispered, shaky voice was her husband.
Valentine's Story

On Thursday at around 5:15 P.M. there was heavy traffic due to construction, as we pulled out onto 34th Street. I wanted to be sure she got home safely, but eight miles per hour? You've got to be kidding. Cars had to go around us; a few people glared angrily, and honked their horn (sorry guys). She wasn't going to let anything happen to her precious cargo
