For 40+ years I have served churches in Texas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma as a Senior or Associate Pastor. One of the Things I Find Most Fascinating: I am fascinated how God reveals Himself in Nature. In my High School years my family would visit my uncle and aunt in California where he served as a Forest Ranger in the Redwoods State Park and “Hurst Castle” State Park. I was amazed at the structures made by man (especially the Hurst Castle at San Simeon, California), but nothing can compare to the spiritual experiences you can have while observing the beauties of God’s Creation. Life Motto: To keep my faith in God strong in every aspect of my life; loving, serving, and empowering others in the process (process – a continuing development involving many changes). Three People I’d Like to Meet: Billy Graham, James Dobson, and Pat Robertson. My Hero: My Dad. One of My Greatest Experiences with God: I was on a ski chair lift on the Sandia Mountain Ski Slope near Albuquerque, New Mexico. I had just come down a slope on melting snow and was about to go back up when I found out that my father and mother and guests had had an accident at the top of the chair lift. As I was going back up to check on them I had the worse and best experience of my life. My worse experience was a major attack of Satan against my mind. I had never felt so hopeless and helpless. At my worse time I literally cried out to God, “I still trust you!” At that moment I had a peace like I had never known before. In the next several days my family had some major physical and spiritual miracles. Most People Don’t Know This About Me: I grew up on a farm in Bowlegs School District (Oklahoma) with several animals to care for: 3 horses, 2 sheep, 3 collie dogs, 2 ducks, and 13 cats. I loved to ride horses and rode in a couple of rodeo parades. |
