Summer Camp Day #4

Today was the most bittersweet day of the entire week.  We're all wanting to see our families, but so upset to be leaving behind all our new friends at Camp Dry Gulch!

We had a full day at Dry Gulch with the boys and girls both spending time at the lake, riding go-carts, and the girls finally got their chance to ride horses.

Chapel tonight had the Big Answer of "I will live for Jesus RIGHT NOW."  The kids were challenged to live a life that will honor Christ, and make a choice everyday to follow Jesus!  Our entire week has been fantastic, and I'm so grateful that you've allowed me and the other sponsors such a great opportunity to be with your kids.

I'd like to make a special thanks to Tiffany Kenton, Emily Hart, and Kenn Ruckey (our official photographer) for all their hard work with Starr and I this week.  If you've found the pictures to be a fun part of your evening, then please take some time to leave us a comment!

Summer Camp Day #3

Today was a great day at Dry Gulch USA.  The boys finally had their water day by starting off at the swimming pool and water slides, and before lunch sneaked in some lake time.  Spending time at the lake includes tubing behind the wave runners, and riding the banana boat tube!  The girls had some much needed inside activities today, and made a great Dry Gulch memory book at craft time.

After lunch the boys spent some time in the stables getting ready for their horseback riding, and the girls hit the General store and Main Street Arcade.

Chapel tonight was fantastic again, as we talked about "Jesus Rescues Right Now."  The kids learned that Jesus can rescue us from our fears, our doubts, and can heal our sickness.  The kids were really challenged to fill their minds with God's Word and to speak blessings and not curses over themselves!

Summer Camp Day #2

We completed our first full day at Dry Gulch USA.  For the girls, it was a day full of canoeing, bouncing on the blob (you'll understand when you see the pictures), riding on the banana boat, and tubing behind the wave runners.  They had their big swimming day on the first day of camp.  The boys however, didn't get in the water until the late night activities.  The boys spent time riding go-carts, playing in the arcade, and visited the General Store.

Chapel was a special day as we talked about how "Jesus Gives Right Now."  It was a great large group conversation about choosing Life, and what makes us often choose the wrong thing.  We spoke about how Jesus helps correct our mistakes, and points us back to him!

Summer Camp Day #1

We've had a great day at Dry Gulch USA!  After a lonnnnggggg bus ride, we arrived in perfect condition for a fun late afternoon.  All the kids settled into their bunk houses, and we all headed to the Dining hall for dinner.  After dinner it was off to a quick chapel service where we learned our 2010 Camp Song!  After chapel we had a late night of activities which included watching a movie, playing on the volleyball courts, and riding the Dry Gulch train.  It's been a blast so far!

Here are the pics from our bus ride, and our short time at Dry Gulch.  We are all looking forward to a fun week at camp.  Thanks for giving us a chance to be with your children.

We've Made it to Camp

We pulled in to Camp Dry Gulch around 3:45pm this afternoon.  It was a totally uneventful trek to northeastern Oklahoma, which was exactly our prayer.  Sometime before Midnight, I'll add some pictures from our trip up here, the first evening chapel, and a late night of activities.

You can also follow along with more regular updates, and even a few bonus pics at www.facebook.com/trinitykidsplace.  You don't even have to have a Facebook account to see what's happening!
